HINDUSTANI CLASSICAL VOCAL
Jogiraj Sikidar is extensively trained in Hindustani classical vocal for more than forty years in the Guru-Shishya Parampara of Kirana Gharana under stalwarts like Pt. Mani Prasad, Smt Kankana Banerjee, Smt Shikha Ganguly, and Prof. Rita Ganguli.
A recipient of the prestigious Times Now NRI of the Year Award 2018 in the field of Art & Culture, Jogiraj Sikidar has more than 800 music concerts in his credit and is teaching Hindustani classical vocal for more than thirty years.
He is the founder and director of the Malhaar Centre for Performing Arts, Dubai.
Manjeet Singh is a Hindustani classical Vocalist Disciple of Guru late Shri Nathulal Azad (Patiyala Gharana) Dr. Veena Shukla, Dr. Sudha Sharma, Dr. Shushma Bajpai, and Late Ustaad Ghulam Dastgir Khan saheb (Rampur Gharana). Manjeet holds a degree in music from Bundelkhand University (Jhansi), Master’s Degree in music from Kanpur university, Visharad in Hindustani classical music from Gandharva Magavidyalaya madal Mumbai and is a Prabhakar in Hindustani classical music from Prayag sangeet Samiti Allahabad. Some of his awards include Bhajan Ratna from Pantanjali, Classical Vocalist from Smriti Sanstha Kanpur. He has also been a classical and folk music vocalist at Doordarshan Uttarpradesh. Manjeet has trained for over 18 years under the guru shisya parampara and has 5 years of teaching experience in Hindustani music. His specialty is voice culture, voice training and performance techniques.
Subhajit is a performing Hindustani classical vocalist, a disciple of Acharya Jayanta Bose, and trained under Padma Bhushan Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty. He also renders lighter forms of Hindustani music such as Thumri, Bhajan, Kirtan, Folk, Rabindra Sangeet, Film/Non-Film, and modern songs. Subhajit is currently training over students in Hindustani vocal music
Suchandra began her Indian classical vocal training at the tender age of 7 the guidance of Sri Amal Mukhopadhyay and later with Sri Shital Saha & Smt Sandip Bhattacharya. She has a gold medal first class first bachelor’s degree and a master’s in music from Rabindra Bharatiya University.
Suchandra has participated in several televised singing competitions like Voice India (&TV), The great music gurukul (Colors Bangla), Eto sur eto gaan, Golden Voice(Doordarshan). She has also performed at All India radio and given playback for Bengali films. She speaks English, Bengali, and Hindi.
Suchandra is also a trained Manipuri dancer
CARNATIC CLASSICAL VOCAL
Sreekutty S Rupesh
Sreekutty is a classical musician trained in Carnatic and Hindustani music with over 13 years of experience in training students. She is a disciple of Smt Suma Unnikrishnan in Carnatic and has trained under Ustad Faiyaz Khan and Shri Jogiraj Sikidar in Hindustani music, and is currently under the guidance of Guru Prince Rama Varma.
She has performed at various prestigious events with stalwarts in music. She is also a well-known figure in the field of media and television and has hosted various television shows and events.
Teaching is a passion and a way of life for Sreekutty, and she believes that Music moulds an individual to grow into a better person and find their true inner calling.
Sameeksha is a Disciple of late guru Surendra Saikia of Lucknow Gharana. She has done her diploma and degree from Bhatkhande University and Sangeet Natak Academy, Lucknow. Sameeksha is a Holder of cultural scholarship and recipient of prestigious sangeet natak academy yuva puraskar , magadh nritya shiromani award and bharat gaurav samman by sanskriti bharat. She has been a performing artist for Doordarshan and has performed in prestigious dance festivals like khajuraho, taj, mammalapuram and ellora mahotsav.
Sameeksha’s strength lies in her abhinaya paksh. Having worked under the doyens of kathak , her Abhinaya has earned her appreciation from many. She has been teaching students from beginners to advance levels since 8 years.
Gandhali Ramugade, a disciple of Padmabhushan Shreemati Dr.Kanak Rele.She completed her master’s degree under the guidance of her Guru Kanak Rele Ji from Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya affiliated to the University of Mumbai, India.
Gandhali has won a Silver medal for her performance in the Cultural Olympiad of Performing Arts, Singapore 2019.Nrutyaka award by Akhil Natrajam Aantar Sanskrutik Sangh, an award for outstanding performance in the Pune Festival & award from Global Council of Art & Culture by Akhil Bhartiya Sanskrutik Sangh official partner of UNESCO. She has performed all over India & abroad.
Gandhali is a passionate Bharatanatyam dancer, performer, and teacher. She is currently training students at the elementary and advanced levels.
Apart from Bharatanatyam, Gandhali is also a trained sitar player under the guidance of her Guru Ketaki Supekar, Mumbai, India.
Deepashree Gadgil is a Bharatnatyam dancer, a disciple of Guru Late Shri. Ravi Sharma and Guru Smt. Vidya Patel. Deepashree holds her diploma and master’s degree from Bombay Arts Society with special diploma certification in the teacher’s training course. She is also an abstract painter. She has been part of International folk festivals and performed across the globe for many years representing India. She has been training students for over 6 years and preparing them for examinations and performances.
Anjana is a Bharatanatyam dancer based in Dubai with dancing experience of more than 25 years. Anjana is a disciple of Kalaimamani Late Sri M V Narasimhachari & Smt M Vasanthalakshmi and has performed at major dance festivals in India, Bahrain, Singapore, and Dubai. Trained in Dance, Indian music, and Nattuvangam, she also holds a Master’s degree in Dance and has been training students and conducting their Arangetrams for the past 17 years.
She is currently registered under internationally recognized ISTD (The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing), London where her students have been consistently scoring merit and above.
Anjana follows her Gurus ideology that Dance is not just an art, but a way of life.
Jyoti Unni is an exponent of Guru Deba Prasad Das style of Odissi and has been trained by two eminent Gurus namely Guru Rabindra Kumar Swain and Smt. Sangeeta Dash, in Odisha, the land of origin of this classical dance form. Jyoti holds the `Sangeet Prabhakar` in Classical Odissi Dance from Prayag Sangit Samiti, Allahabad, with distinction. With her striking stage presence, precise dance techniques & abhinaya (facial expressions), Jyoti has won popular praise among audiences in India, Singapore & Dubai. Jyoti is an impaneled artiste of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) as an Odissi soloist. Jyoti has performed at leading festivals like Odissi International Festival( Bhubaneswar), Soorya Festival (Trivandrum) Bharatham Dance Festival (Trissur), SIFAS Dance & Music Festival ( Singapore), Singapore Heritage Festival, to name a few.
Jyoti has imparted training in Odissi at the Global Indian Cultural Centre, (GICC), Queenstown, Singapore from 2006 to 2017. For her contribution to Odissi, she was awarded the GICC long service award in 2011. Jyoti has been invited to judge Dance competitions in Singapore and in India. Several of her students have gone on to become Odissi Dance Soloists under her guidance.
BOLLYWOOD CLASSIC DANCE
Sameeksha ji, a trained Kathak dancer has now introduced ‘Bollywood Classics’ in which she uses old Bollywood classics to introduce nuances of Kathak and the art of combining these two genres, beautifully and gracefully. Being a firm believer of ‘It’s never too late to start’, this genre has proven to be very popular among the group of people who have been wanting to learn classical dance form since long, but at the same time also be able to dance gracefully for family functions or occasional gatherings.
Arindam is a tabla virturoso, trained under guidance Acharya Pandit Shankar Ghosh ji for 26 years and then Vidwan S. Shekhar in Carnatic music.
“A Graded” artist of All India radio & Doordarshan, an empaneled artist of ICCR & EZCC in established Artiste category ,empaneled artist of Regional Outreach Bureau from Information and Broadcasting Dept. (Govt of India).Senior national scholarship holder from the Indian Ministry of Culture, New delhi in the field of tabla.
Arindam is recipient of several awards such as Gana Yogi Panchakshari Award, Taalmani award by Mumbai, Sangeet gaurav award. He regularly travels around the world to perform as a solo artist as well as accompanist. Arindam has performed in Japan, Borneo, Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Okinawa, Thailand, Srilanka and UAE.
He has accompanied many maestros around the globe such as Padmabhushan N. Rajam Ji, Ustad Ashish Khan Sahab, Padmabhibhushan Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia Ji, Padmashree Sivamani, Pamdabhushan Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma, Ustad Hamid Ali Khan Sahab, and many more. Arindam has trained students worldwide for the last 20 years & at present is a senior faculty of Tabla at Malhaar
Prashant Yeware, is a creative art person by profession and a percussionist by passion. At the age of 10 his coaching in Tabla started with Shri Chodankarji, and continued his learning with Shri. Madhavji Tare. Tabla being the main instrument, he acquired proficiency in other percussion instruments like Dholak, Dholki, Drums, Kongo, Tumba to name a few. He is also taken drums lessons from Shri Prabhakar Panchal, a professional drummer
At the age of 14, did his first professional recording for a Marathi devotional album with Music Director Shri. Vishwasji Patankar from Marathi film industry. Prashant has accompanied as a percussionist in various live shows and recordings right from his childhood.
After moving to Dubai, he connected with Shri Jogira Sikidarji, founder of Malhaar Centre for Performing Arts and accompanied with him in several Malhaar productions.
Currently, Prashant is mentoring students in Malhaar in the capacity of tabla faculty.
Gandhali Ramugade started learning Sitar under the guidence of her guru shreemati Rohini kulkarni ,daughter of Pandit Malhaarrao kulkarni ,famous flutist from mumbai . She continues with her learning from her Guru and currently teaching Sitar at the Malhaar Centre for Performing Arts.
Avijit has trained in Indian classical music and is a Sangeet Prabhakar from Lucknow Gharana. He has learnt Western Contemporary Piano(Trinity Curriculum) from Calcutta School of Music. He has travelled across the globe and performed with stalwarts like Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Hariharan,Late Mana Dey, Ushma Uthup and Vinod Rathod amongst others. He is a lifetime member of R.D. Burman’s band Euphony.
